Journey over the rainbow this October Half Term for an unforgettable family musical at the Altrincham Garrick Playhouse!

Little Dorothy Gale from Kansas, like so many girls her age, dreams of what lies over the rainbow.

After a freak tornado hits her quiet farmhouse home, she is whisked away to the magical land of Oz! Now young Dorothy must follow the yellow brick road to meet the mighty Wizard of Oz, who holds the power to take her home.

On the way she teams up with a Scarecrow, a Tin Woodsman and a Cowardly Lion, and they all must avoid the clutches of the Wicked Witch of the West, who is trying to steal the mysterious magic slippers that once belonged to her evil sister but are now on Dorothy's feet.

Based on the 1939 MGM film, this stage classic features the well-loved songs Merry Old Land of OzWe’re Off to See the WizardDing! Dong! The Witch is Dead and of course Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
